Human Resource & Administration
The department’s strategic objective is developing human capital development for a high performance organization. The Departments’ goal is to create an efficient and effective management of the recruitment process, retain staff and ensure a defined succession management is in place.
The Finance department is charged with the prudent financial stewardship of the Authority including sourcing of funds, allocation of funds as well as effective cash flow management to ensure the Authority meets its obligations to the public promptly.
The Legal Services Department manages the Commission’s litigation before the Tribunal and the appellate courts. It also ensures that the Authority complies with all the statutory obligations which it endeavours to achieve through conducting of legal audit; vetting of all contractual obligations the Authority enters into, among others. The Department also advises on governance issues and technical matters.
This department offers independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes in order to assist the Authority in achieving its strategic objectives.
The Procurement Unit handles the procurement function of the Authority. The unit, while actualizing this function is guided by The Constitution of Kenya 2010, The Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005 and The Public Procurement and Disposal Regulations 2006. This aims at ensuring that the Authority acquires assets and services of high quality at competitive terms.
Information Communication and Technology
The Information Technology Unit provides a secure, user-friendly and efficient Information Technology (IT) environment for all the Authority’s employees.
Communications & External Relations
The main objective of the department is formulating and implementing strategies to enhance the public image of CAK. The communications unit is critical in assisting CAK create and sustain positive relations with clients and the public, managing and improving the flow of communication and growing the Authority’s image.
