Dr. Priscilla Njako is a seasoned professional with vast experience in management, earned in both the public and private sectors.

Dr. Njako joined the Authority in March 2019 as inaugural manager for the Buyer Power Department, tasked with mainstreaming abuse of buyer power as a technical area of enforcement by the Authority. As Manager Buyer Power, Dr. Njako’s key responsibility is providing leadership to the department for investigations into abuse of buyer power, market monitoring and industry guideline development, in order to support the Authority’s strategic objectives.

Prior to joining the Authority Dr. Njako served in legal practice and the education sector. In her career experience spanning twenty-five years, she has held various managerial positions including Head of Faculty and Head of Examinations and Research in leading institutions of higher learning.  

Dr. Njako holds a Doctor of Laws Degree in Competition Law from University of Pretoria, a Master of Laws Degree in Corporate Law from the University of South Africa, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, a Certified Public Secretaries qualification (CPS Section 6) from Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) and various certificates in Competition Law and Management. She is a Certified Public Secretary and member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICS) and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

Dr. Njako has a keen interest in forward-looking and effective enforcement of policy to aptly address the needs of the Kenyan economy.
